Any of you guys running the new Predator cast single 4 intake? Not the old style short one I am talking the new style larger volume one. Part number PRE-I4-3. Looking at purchasing one to use in Super Classes, just want to hear if ANYONE has any experience with it. Next question is who is the best place to get one from?

Al, I got the cast tunnel ram and it is a nice piece. I bought it from Steve G. at Predator Heads .com but that site is down now. Maybe call him on the phone? I don't have a number. You know how I feel about dealing with Indy on anything. Another guy that is great to deal with is Mike @ Muscle Motors.

Sean I have and the teepee top he wants to use will simply be WAY to tall for the car. It adds another 3.5" to the height/ We got away from the 99 stuff(for now)due to maintenance right now. I will end up racing by myself, well with the wife, from time to time and it simply be to much work for me alone. So I am going to a bigger cube deal and will hope it is less maintenance intensive. Also we will likely have nitrous on this mill incase we decide to travel a bit to run TS. We will likely get back to the 99 stuff at some point as it flat makes power. The reason I am looking for input on the intake is the ability to run this motor in Super Classes. Maybe we can go 170 in S/ST

Depending on the plenum volume you might need... you could just make a flat plate for a single carb and make a plenum diverted to direct the A/F so you get away from the center dead space

Billy, believe me I hear ya. This will likely be my LAST attempt at doing this Mopar style. Bad enough I have to pay a $20K premium for a USED Mopar 6.00 cert car but wanna try an build a Mopar deal. Hard to pass up some of the big bore space stuff out there for the price. I have most of the engine, just looking for possibilities of using it in multiple classes. Lot's of things happening around here It may end up being nothing more than a super class engine when it is done but hoping we can make enough power to get in a TS field. Thankfully for now out here that is quite doable.

This is what 175 in the super classes can get you....personally I believe the huge HP is growing beyond what these cars are designed for...
Yep....my old vette

Why are you hung on running Super Street Al? I guess I don't see the point in having Top Sportsman power and stopping it down to run a 10.90 class. Why not just run Top Sportsman. It's all about the start line and the finish line in both classes, you just don't get the "snooze fest" in the middle with Top Sportsman........LOL!!!
A decent 600" Predator motor should make 1100 fairly easily. With a TS weight car and a moderate amount of nitrous, you can get in a TS field anywhere.

maybe u can talk indy into making a mod man intake for predators, but then you would need another two grand in mods just to make it work...
