I have no firsthand knowledge of this product, only that it's a vendor other than PG Classics bubble offering,...... AAR/Stinger fiberglass is now www.americansportscar.comMike Perhaps someone has purchased this bubble?

I bought one about 9 years ago that looks like the Stinger one. Got it on ebay so not 100% sure. It was a heavy white piece with a door. All the posts had to be tapped and all door holes opened and tapped too. Took a friend that was a bodyman about a week of after work massaging.
The PG one came out about a year later and I thought boy if only I had waited. Then all the reviews of them came out and it really sounds like junk.
My buddy was able to make that one I bought look really nice especially after shooting it with Organisol. The door wasn't fully closed when that picture was taken. Ron

It has been about 6 years ago, but I bought the entire kit from Stinger and sure there were some fitment issues but I worked them out. I was very happy with the results. My car was a factory air grabber car but had none of the fiberglass stuff. Heck it was harder finding the attaching castle nuts etc than making the repop fiberglass unit work. Must have been ok when finished since it won many awards. Even a First in Stock class at the Nats.

Thanks Mike, good info, as I need 2 Plymouth Air grabber set ups, and was hesitant on pulling the trigger on the Stinger set-up myself....Nice Car! by the way

Thanks for the props. A great guy in Canada now owns the car. Here is a shot of the box. I wish I had a better close up so you could see the quality.

The pictures of those certainly look nice! I ordered a kit from PG and within a month the fiberglass bubbled up terribly. There are at least a dozen bubbles the size of a dime, as well as two very tall bubbles the size of a softball. Also, within 6 months a crack appeared on the drivers side that split completely through to the scoop lid. Even after drilling it out and filling it in, the crack still grew. Customer service only offered a 40% discount off a new one, and I would be required to pay shipping for both the new bubble, and to ship mine back to them. What work was required before paint? Was it just sand and smooth with additional gel coat/primer? or was it necessary to cut out and apply new fiberglass? Thanks for everybody's tips

That bubble and box was installed in 2006 and unless Lemon Twist has had problems with it (he bought the car) it is still good. All I had to do was sand here and there for fit, no gel coat, no fiberglass fix, no cracks. Sand and assemble, dis assemble and paint, re-assemble and show. Just the way it should work. But again that was in 2006, I have had no additional purchase from them since. I also have a 70 air grabber box from BEA and so far have not had an issue with it, but the car is just now finished and only has 12 miles on it.

That GTX was finally sold about a year ago. Ron
