Almost every single original I've seen has a crack in it. We restored our original and it looked perfect but after a couple of times gently closing the hood, the crack reappeared in the same exact spot. Typically the crack is on the passenger side running from the rear corner of the door outward toward the edge of the bubble. It's barely visible, but I told myself "oh well" that's the way they were from the factory. Find a body man who works on Corvette's and is familiar with working with fiberglas. Your aftermarket bubble can probably be made to look pretty nice by someone who knows what they're doing. You'd have to spend money to restore an original anyway.
