Do you have any idea what the rear axle weight is? I would guess that a 125 spring would put you pretty close but with out knowing for sure on the weight its just a guess.

The 3700-3800 isnt gonna help much.. you need to know the rear weight... then subtract the unsprung weight then see what they want for the manufacturers design height for the shock... for the general spec its 5/8 of the stroke inside the shock.. set the bottom spanner up 1" and if the spring is right it will drop down in to that 5/8 point.. if its within 1" you can adjust that.. if its greater then you need to change the springs.... as a GUESS the 125#-130# should be real close.... if the body isnt setting at the height correctly then you move the bottom of the shock to get it right... dont just crank up the spanner(you would be going out of the design height)

My NHRA legal A/S 1970 Baracuda 426 Street Hemi weighed 2160 lbs on the front tires and around 1280 lbs on the rear with no driver and a 1/2 tank of gas. That car was a original 383 4 speed car that had a K member and engine out of a 1968 Hemi Road runner, E body Dana 60 rear, Shaker hood and no roll bar, stock front and back seats, no console,no heater or radio Them babys are way nose heavy I help another couple that raced a 1970 Challenger R/T that we put a street hemi motor in it also to run NHRA legal A/SA, it had similar weights on the front and back tires IHTHs

If you have 150s on it now and you measure the design length(eye to eye) I'm sure that its longer than it should be... in that case you could be topping them out which causes the loss of traction... on some days the track might be better and those are the days you probably lost traction

The first few runs it was planting the tire hard enough to set the tires and the shocks worked good at that point... did you ever loosen up your shocks when it would spin... maybe just 1 or 2 settings

What we learned over the years is that you want just enough spring to hold the back of the car up, then adjust the shock setting for traction and control, it works great at the track as too heavy of a spring negates the shock adjustments. Then, if you REALLY drive it on the street, like Drag Week for example, and you have a buddy with you, and possibly some luggage, or spare parts, it's going to beat you, the shocks, and the suspension to death in about 300 miles because the springs simply can't control the weight under adverse driving conditions! I learned this lesson at DW 2011, and my brother suffered the same problem at DW2013. So if you truly intend to use it on the street, you might want a set of 150 or 160s to slap on in that situation.

oh believe me... i tried everything... cant wait to try my new 125 lb springs.
