Are you saying it drives forward even in Neutral? Does it lock up in Reverse? If so, the rear clutch isn't releasing; have to pull the trans to fix.

My reverse went out on mine, it pulled good in drive & 2, & I can't remember what it did in low it would pull a little forward even in reverse if you rev it, but I think it was just from rev. it up, but best I remember the gear shift did not lock up at first like his did, so yell it may not be, but when I got mine redone, it needed a rear gear set, reverse drum & reverse band!!..& reverse is accomplished by using only the rear gear set!
