My race car. 3330 w/my 195. I'm sure it could make it to cruise night. But at 14.7-1, .800" roller, and no mufflers, probably not going to happen. It has lights, horn ,etc.

To be honest I've never weighed my truck with a full tank of fuel or with all the crap in it in street trim, it would probably go over 4000. In race trim with 5 gallons of fuel it's about 3800. I've never owned a pure race car/truck, it gets driven HARD on the street. How fast???, I'd like to know too, it keeps breaking the weak links. Last attempt I had to drop the throttle at the 1/8 and coast through, that netted a 10.74@108.Dave

"68 Roadrunner 3726# + my 200+ = 3926#. Full interior, mainly street driven, but raced 4-5 times a year with the UMTR gang. It's a stick car that went 11.1 last spring at 122.8 MPH.

4 speed street legal. Best time 10.99 @ 124 mph on 93 octane pump gas @ 3926# total weight

my 67 notch with 408 weights 3300 with me and has ran a best of 10.35@130. runs on prem pump gas and is street driven, short trips only. with the .700 lift cam I wouldn't be comfortable driving more than 30 or 40 miles one way. still has full interior.

My Duster weighs 3,300 pounds without me in it, all metal full interior full exhaust small block, runs 12.40's through the mufflers, fully streetable (I take air out of the tires when I race it, that's the only difference.) Sometimes I remember to take the toolbox out of the trunk too.

'76 Dart weighs 3,400 pounds without me in it, with a mild 340 and a 4-speed it only runs high 13's... it's pretty heavy for an A-body.

'72 Challenger, also small block, 727, all metal full interior full exhaust weighs only 3,340 pounds. Everyone thinks it must weigh at least 4,000 pounds but nope, same as the A-bodies.

My 94 Dak weighs 3400 lbs with me in it. Full interior, cd player, ac, ps, pb, all factory stuff on it. Very streetable with only a .520 hydraulic cam, 3.55 gear on a 30" drag radial. 9.97 @ 134

My daily driver, Mercedes E55 AMG, is 4370 with me in it. It is a luxury 4 door sedan. 11.80 @ 118.

At 3,100 lbs my Street driven Barracuda went 8.02@170 many times in 2005 running KOS with a single stage fogger .040" pill.

It now weighs 3,000 and runs 8.9's @150 with no power adders and was driven over 1,000 street mile this past summer.

It went faster when it was heavier. Must have been hooking better LOL. Might have been that 100 lbs of nitrous system.

My Savoy is 3700lbs even with me in it and a full tank of gas. Bound to be 3800lbs by spring once I put the Dana in it and add some bars for 9.99 and down cert.

Couldn't try harder to make it heavier. Full exhaust, bench seat, stock glass, cast manifolds, steel wheels, filled block. The only light weight thing about is that it's a radio delete car from the factory... lol

Race weight is +/- 5235 lbs depending on how much fuel is in the tank. Truck is an 05 Dodge Ram 4x4. Only thing not factory is the engine, induction, trans and CalTrac's. Run's on 91 pump, 14 mpg highway. Best 1/8 to date is 6.87 @ 98. Best 1/4 with the brick is 11.03 @ 118. 60' between 1.48-1.50 in 4WD. Yes I race it in 4WD cause it's the only way I can get it to hook.

Holy crap, most of these cars are TANKS. I have a hard time seeing how some of these cars are SO heavy.

My GTX was all steel except for the hood. Factory glass, factory rails and pans. Full interior with a back seat. Ladder bars, coilovers front and rear, with a rack and tubular control arms. Full mild steel cage. Mega-block with B-1 heads. With me aboard and 2 nitrous bottles loaded up, it was 3180 ready to rock and I uweighed about 175 at the time. It was 100% streetable and legal. All lights, horn etc worked. Even the dome and glove box lights still worked..........LOL!!!

I'm thinking that the lack of OEM front/rear suspension/steering could have something to do with that... LOL!!!

Understand that, but AlterKtion and Magnum force fronts are very common these days, as are ladder bars, so not like there was anything exotic or cutting edge on my car and it was still a B-body that weighed less than 3200 race ready with driver. Some of these guys are listing similar cars at 3700-3800lbs.........wow

Monte

I currently just have a project car so I will post 1 of my old combo's, which I had a ton of fun with.

First was my old DartSport, 4 link back half with a stock front suspension, 3050#'s with me in it at 200#'s, I'm now 220#'s.

I loved the car but hated the lexan windows with a passion. It had an 11 to 1 compression 451 low deck with cnc ported Edelbrock RPM heads, 590 purpleshaft, 1.6 harlands, M1 tunnel ram with 2 750 Quickfuel custom TR carbs, 8" ATI treemaster converter, 4.56 gear'd Ford 9".

This car was very streetable, once I went with an electric water pump it was a little less streetable though.
Footbraked to a 1.36 60 foot, 6.20's, and 9.90's at 136.8 MPH through the X-pipe exhaust system.
New owner has gone quicker in it and is planning upgrades.
