Did some work this weekend thus far. Mated the tranny to the motor. Had an episode of "I hate headers". Of course, the original bends of the tranny lines don't work with headers. So, I massaged them and I believe all is good. I have to get another 90 degree power steering fitting. I got the smaller 66-68 fitting. I do believe the 69 and later are larger. Got the mini-starter as well... Everything seems to be going forward albeit slowly. But, that's OK. So far the TTI headers bend rather well.

After these pictures where taken, I installed the starter cable and realized the safety/neutral switch was incorporated in it. So, the harness I had new was your typical V8 harness. Oh well, now I have a new one for my future project.

Well, yesteday I tackled the front control arms. Installed the new PST upper bushing and cleaned things up. Love that bushing removal/installation tool. Cosmoline application of the lowers and they are ready for reinstall. The lower control arms have the PST polygraphite bushings as well. I will wait till the motor is in so there is less things in the way. I want to make the installation of the drivetrain as simple and unobstructed as possible. Looks good if I say so out of the garage with a rattle can from RestoRick.

More control arm stuff......... factory markings..........

Orange = passenger side
Blue = driver's side..

Disclaimer: I am in no way stipulating that the colors shown are assembly line correct hues of the colors they are......

Now, research on the markings on the valve cover...... Jimbo?

Thanks to Jim's intel;

This is what I'm going with "22"; my final answer, for better or worse, till death do us part...... It is what it is......

I'm going back to the clutch 216 fan style initially. Yes, the fan's dusty and it's not a 070 clutch. ........ I'm losing it.....

I need to get the radio noise suppressor as well.......

wellllllllllll, unless I can get one stenciled, this isn't the one that's actually going to be on it. Since I am going with a MSD-6A system, I have to have the MSD Blaster coil, which I bought in black.. Now, if it isn't overly expensive to do that, I'll add that little touch too !!!

Thanks for the feedback Scott......... Always looking to improve the overall OEM look within reason and to the extent of the components I'm using....

Troy just get the green stamp from ECS to put on the coil of your choice.

Ah man !!! Now, that's cold !!! ( albeit, I have gotten a couple of things from them, like my harnesses from M&H ).....

Well, time for more "stuff". Test fitting the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler lines. These are standard equipment on Hemi-auto cars because of the higher stall speed converter used. I found the perfect place to route the one line, through the strength bend that runs along the latch tray. Not sure why Creative didn't put the line there, it fits with a slight bend forward. Guess it was easier hack the latch tray and route the line instead of forming the tube. I may form the tube some more so it approaches the latch tray at a perpendicular direction.

New brake system means new fluid. I went with this very high temp racing fluid. Under the hood of this Daytona, it can get warm....good stuff...

Well, today was the day I brought together the 426 Hemi and Daytona. With the help from Tuffy and Jacob, things went pretty smooth. So, finished is a major milestone in Operation Hemi-Transplant.

Lot more to do, but this is one less thing......
