Schumacher here as well. my engine doesn't sit level, and i haven't looked into it as it doesn't cause any problems, but overall they are well engineered, and i would recommend them.
I ran into the same problem with my Schumacher Hemi conversion mounts. You can adjust that by loosing the large bolt that bolts the block mount and k-frame mount and position the engine where you want and tighten those bolts back up but be sure you really torque them down so they don't move.

One thing I don't really care for on the Schumacher Hemi mounts is the fact the engine appears to be roughly 1/2"(?) higher then stock. I am running an M1 single 4bbl intake with a glass repo 1970-1971 air grabber air cleaner and with a stock 1970 Challenger R/T hood it was touching so I had to take if I remember correctly about an 1-1/2" off the air cleaner base plate to get enough clearance for me to be comfortable. I thought I read on here a few years ago that a couple of guys opened up the engine bracket holes and dropped the engine down to factory specs. I bought some Hemi head bolts from Arruzza when I was building my engine and I didn't care for the way he handled that transaction so that is one of the reasons I went with the Schumacher kit.

I don't see it. a friend put a level on it and told me, but to me it looks level. unless it's causing problems, good enough!
That makes no sense. Whether an engine is "level" or not is it's relationship to the chassis.

Call Al Debevec and do it right! 715-267-7141
OK, so does Al make the complete converted k-member or the motor mount adaptors for a 426 Hemi on a standard V8 k-member? Or, both?
I am weighting the possibility of foregoing adaptor brackets and just get a complete k-member. But, the cost of a complete k-member and OEM hemi motor mount brackets is about the same as a set of brand new TTI ceramic headers that I need to get regardless......
Thanks for the input all........
Cheers, Troy

If you plan on using the flat Charger hood, and the Schmacher mounts raise the engine at all, you will not have room for an air cleaner. I put a 528 Hemi in my 68 Charger will stock mounts and k member and there's not enough room for an air cleaner on a carb, but there is on a throttle body, good thing I'm running EFI.

Which intake manifold were you using?

Recently, I visited a shop that specializes in repairing and modifying vintage Mopar Musclecars. A 1969 Hemi-fied Charger R/T was up on the rack. There were numerous issues with the car, worst of which were the Schumacher engine mounts, which improperly mounted the engine, and definitely caused issues all the way through the car. The very fact that one mount is essentially solid, and the other semi-isolated by rubber had me pondering the design. The quick fix? A real Hemi K-frame, and factory mounts. Also a set of TTI headers dramatically improved everything!

I have the stageV rockers under stock repop valve covers and running the stageV intake. Once I get an aircleaner base that fits my holley carbs I will be able to check it for clearance but measuring seems to say I should have about 1/2" clearance when it done. Tim
