Yes its repoped we bought one for our 74 metro had/made it if i remember right

They come off and on pretty easy if you putting on.a new grille they just snap in place just mock it up you will see where the clips need to be (they slide along back side of the molding take your hand n bump them into place

Just saw your Challenger, and as the owner of a 73 Challenger, yours is beautiful...
As for the molding, it's pretty simple to remove and re-install. I used a thin plastic prybar, with a little padding on the paint. Once you get one end off, it's easy to gently pop it off, one fastener at a time. You'll see how the fasteners attach, and they're easy to re-install on the new molding. You can slide the fasteners in the molding to get them to line up with the holes. It's a pretty easy job to do. Even I could figure it out...

Yes there is a molding there if look close can see it on our challenger some day need to buy a new one as ours is all scratched up

The valance moulding is one you see missing so much on the 72-74 Challengers. IMHO the grill looks unfinished without it. If you find one on a donor car be careful removing it, very delicate in the center area. I found out the hard way! Scott
