I know the pitman arm can only go on the box one way, but at what position do you put it through the center link? Years ago I turned the wheels all the way one way and then the box all the way that way and then hooked it up. This did not work though as it was about a 60/40 turn ratio rather than a 50/50. Thanks. Anonymous Unregistered A	unless they have a different setup on 67 coronets, that connection to the centerlink is by a ball and socket type connection. the ball and stud will rotate in the socket on the pitman arm. so it doesnt need any special alignment

It is basically the same as inserting a ball joint through the center link. RS23L7 4-Speed

pushbutton pro stock P Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 1,565 tennessee	i would check the number of turns of the str.box lock to lock,stop in the center,set the wheels straight and hook the center link up.does this sound like what you are asking? ck. to see if you have same turns both ways before final tighting. you can center str. wheel later. this should work if str. box is all you are changing.

Thanks. to fix that the tie rods would have had to been adjusted properly , the steering box needs to be centered FIRST , the pitman arm is keyed as is the steering column connection .
