Just curious what valve springs you guys are running with your 60303 voodoo cam. I am running the springs that came in my eddy heads with 105# seat pressure and car is breaking up at 5700rpm. Called Lunati and they recommended a double spring (73124k4), but I noticed the complete kit they sell with that cam comes with a single spring (73815LUN).
Would simply shimming my existing springs to get seat pressure up be a good idea? With a .060" shim I would be at 120# seat.

I strongly suggest you call Dwayne Porter (fast68plymouth) and get some springs from him. Dwayne is the man when it comes to this stuff.

That's my point, not that you can't "fine tune" a spring's preload w/in a certain level by the installed height.
But if you're working w/ used springs that only had 120#s closed when new, have fatigued to 110#s after some use, and the new cam really needs 140#s, "You can't get there from here!"

I took the springs to a shop today and the measured very close to eddy spec. 125# @ 1.885', 285# @ 1.385, 330# @ 1.285. Guy at the shop said I need a double spring with the voodoo cam.
I called Mike at MRL per advice here and he was super helpful. He recommended a beehive spring part# 74820k1. It is rated 155# @ 1.880, 340# @ 1.380. I also tried calling Dwayne for his advice but the phone was always busy so I didn't get through.

Just got done putting everything back together this morning after installing the beehive springs Mike at MRL recommended. They did the trick. The Cuda spins up to 6K without a problem now. Thanks again for all the help/advice.
