ive got a firm feel revbuilt TA box just installed and I have a slight amount of dead spot going straight ahead too. its not the coupler (changed it and its tight) and its not the linkages or ball joints.

I was going to call them and ask about it.

It's rebuilt uses the old steering gears (or other good core gears possibly?). I don't think anyone makes new power steering gears.

Steering gear wear the most in the middle because that's where they are at most of the time. It you adjust to play out of the middle that is worn or slightly worn it will be too tight at the ends.

Thanks i'm not being understood. I'm not talking play or wear in box or tie rods etc. This power steering box is typical chrysler turns too easy. I'm want to make it fiie tighter / firmer. will a steering stabilizer help????

It's A stage 2 firm feel. Can't remove & send back have you ever tried to remove PS box from 440 w/ headers??

I should have purchased a rack & pinion setup.
the whole experience would be much better

You would probably have to send it back & have them recalibrate it.
