This MP windage tray http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dcc-4120998/overview/make/dodge is labeled for use with center sump oil pans. Any reason it wouldn't work with a rear sump truck oil pan?

Wouldn't the center sump pan have a different location for the pickup? If so, the opening in the tray for the pickup tube would also be different that a rear-sump?

I guess am looking at it like a smallblock windage tray. It works on both center and rear sump pans. Only difference is the shape of the oil pickup tube.

Let me see if I can find my box, but I am almost certain I used that tray with the truck pan. I needed the truck pan for the dart because the 402 hit the rack.

I got that tray and drilled some holes to help with oil drain back.

It was a little tricky to get the tray in as the truck pan has a long pickup tube, but it worked fine.

Again, I'll check in the garage for the box, I cannot seem to find my receipt.

Good point Rocky. I am going to order the Milidon tray and just do any notching or relieving needed to install the pickup tube. I doubt it will need any though. This is my first venture into BB territory so I am a little cautious I guess. Thanks to everyone for their input.

SINCE WHEN has the ROCKster ever had a good-point ? ...

He is living in the STONEage ! .... the tray not having good drainage ? .....

MAYbe if ROCKster is setting the rod-side-clearance with a LAVA ROCK and is winding up with a 50 to 80 spec ...

1/2 the price. Drill and chamfer some holes, clean, and done.

that looks like the pan that came in my stock 77-MH 440 engine with a front sump pan.

I swaped it to a rear sump/pick-up tube and re-used the tray.

When I was building my stroker I bought the MP tray and I had to beat and ding it pretty good to get the clearance I wanted
I ended giving the 440 Source tray a look and I was rewarded with a tray that fits perfect with only minor trimming around the pick-up
Very nice part http://store.440source.com/Windage-Tray-Stroker-New/productinfo/127-1002/

Confirmed. This is the tray I used with the truck pan/pickup. Worked fine.
