The originals were spring clips similar to the picture below...

But you could easily substitute a bolted clip as long as you attach the trim before you install the glass....

If your really good with a mirror, light, & 1/4" sockets/extensions it is doable.... Roll the glass up & use a mirror to see what kind of access you'll have, it's not easy but I'm sure it can be done..

Try www.restorationspecialties.com they have a host of spring wire push in molding clips like in Randy's pic, ...IIRC you will need a stud/threaded style wire/spring clip for the rear of the door molding as it's accessible from the inside door janb, I believe the rest are push in style... Start on page 131 of their on line catalog...

#181 in DAYCLONA's pic looks very much like the original fasteners for the door top trim (other than at either end)
Start on page 131 of their on line catalog...
