Hello, I like your combination! Should make real good torque for the steet!!! I also like your header combo, very good choice!!! I have Built very simular combo's in sb. chey's. I use a 750 holley, vacuum secondery setup. Good street drivability!!!! You will still need to do some tuningwith, accelerator pump size, some jeting, and secondery spring tuning!!!! But al in al you should be good with that!!!! Good luck, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I would run a 950 on that combo. My edelbrocks loved it with a auto so with a stick I think it would even be better.

I built a 418 for my Rampage and went with a 850DP
and it made 550hp and 520ftlbs ... this was with W-5
heads and 1 7/8 tubes, same compression.. it would
have made more power with a bigger carb but this was
enough power to put me at my max ET in my car...
strokers really like CFM but it comes down to how
much fuel you want to throw at it on the street

I have a 800 edelbrock thunder series on my mild 406 stroker in a 68 charger, and it is a perfect match. But I had to buy the carb. tuneup kit to get it to run right.

My 408 is very close to yours, same compression and heads. I have just a little more duration and more lift with a Victor. Mine loves the Bigs 950HP on it. I'd like to try a 1000 4150 to see if it would pick up.

Another vote for the Holley 950, Great carb on a stroker SB, but as mentioned any of these big Holleys are THIRSTY! You could probably have just as much fun on the street with a substantially smaller carb (750 range) but you'd leave some HP on the table.

I've gone 9.98@130 mph in my 408 Duster with a 750 holly but will be trying a 850 and a 1050 dom in 2013. I'm a bracket racer and the 750 ran so consistent I didn't want to play with it but like I said its time to test.

Has anyone tried a Pro Systems carb on their stroker? I was talking with their tech and was told their new 750- 4150 series carb could produce 18-35 more horsepower than my current 750 HP Holley. Their carbs are nice looking but I just don’t see how they are that much better than the HP Carbs.

I've had great success with Pro Systems carbs. They built me a 780 for my 372. And when I stepped up to the 412 they built me a 950 both ran great out of the box.

I ran a 4150 1000HP and 750HP on my last 390" small block stroker. It made ~550hp. The 1000 was maybe .05 faster than the 750, not a really big gain.

I'll be trying my TQ/Strip Dom combo this yr on my 380. Got to be easier on gas than my 750DP.

On the dyno I've seen an additional 5-8 HP over the 950 but haven't tried it at the track.

Me too. Ran a Prosystems 950 on my 408 NA motor and I'm running the same carb modified by ProSystems om my 408 blower motor.

I run the 1000HP Pro-systems on both my 414 small block and 517 Big Block and I'm very happy with them.
