Is there a difference in length between an A body and B body bottom arm?

Correct.
A's are a bit "longer" in overall length, than B & E's.

But use a shorter pivot shaft.

the reson Im asking is I have a 68 B body Im replacing a front end in and I have a set of A body arms on the shelf already rebuilt, I was planning to install them rather than rebuild the B body arms, but the car is not here its a few miles away

I never had to actually measure them, between A body, and B & E body, but they are longer.

I see your down under in Australia.

Your going to have to rebuild your B body LCA's.
No way getting around it.

Bushings are the same.

LCA bushings are the same.
Here is a pis. Upper one is an A and lower is a B/E. A is 1/2" longer and the shaft is a 1/2" shorter.

yes, way down in Aust and inland too, at least I dont have to source bushes at this time of the year, Iv done quite a few aussie Val front ends before so its not a biggie for me just that Im here and the car is there with a few miles between, I was hoping for a dismantle reassemble in an afternoon. might have to transport the car home instead

No worries. Thats why I post them. So people can save and use them later.
I love interchange and cross referance.

Old time oval trackers knew about this about 4 decades ago as a stealth way to alter caster/camber figures.
