Who runs one? What brand is it? How does it fit? What's it on (engine, headers and chassis)?

I'm in the market, any advice is appreciated to help me from wasting money on a bad one.

diapers are a pita. do what ever it takes and build some form of belly pan that removes quickly. it will cost more, but in the long run you'll be happier.

Dustin... I got mine from DRE diapers.. it fits fairly well and he added some kevlar patches where the header tube comes within 2" of the block..

The Duster is a stock frame deal with a modified K member and a rack for steering, so mine doesnt have the same interference as your car will... but all in all, I'm happy with the purchase and feel a little bit safer should the block window or something..

Sorry no pics, as its really hard to see underneath the headers and oil lines.. but if its helpful, I think I paid like $300 for mine..

Dustin, DRE made mine: 68 Dart SB w/motor plates & Milodon SS Oil Pan (the type with the centerlink going thru it).
It was the first fabication of that type for DRE so it cost a bit more plus they added lots of heat cloth due to very close header clearance. I had to fabricate my own solution for the centerlink cut-outs. It took alot of time but the results are very good and the diaper fits like a glove. Total Cost around $600.00
Small price to pay for the extra level of safety in my opinion.
Also, Dennis at DRE could not have been more helpful & accomodating.

I too will recommend DRE. Dennis is a racer and great guy. I see him at most of the DIV 3 points races and is always willing to take break from his own car to help others get blankets installed. Many times he has come to the aid of someone who did not pass tech due to missing diaper, and got them legal to race!

I have a DRE also and have no problem with it. I know a Chassis guy that made a pretty fancy belly pan for his car and had to remove it because around 145 MPH it wanted to lift the front end of the car.

We just got one from Russlerii.com that has been talked about here on Moparts. It fit great and is easy to put on. The best part is the cost at $ 158.00 compared to the $450-650 that DRE wanted. He makes them custom to your specs. He is hard to catch on the phone but you can get him. I am very pleased with it and feel a lot safer with it on!

I went with the DRE. More expensive, but we had a ton of mods; dragster pan, sight glass, drag link tube, external oil lines; kickout, etc. I had to send the pan to Dennis, but the fit is good. Had one burn-through from the headers and he fixed it for free and added more Kevlar patches. It was sagging a little more than I liked due to the length, so I added a layer of Masonite under the absorbent pad. The other thing I did was add a stud to the header flange between #6 & #8, and #5 & #7 so the strap pulls straight up and not over the rear spark plugs.

Thats a nice drip pan...Would not stand a chance in containing either of my last 2 engine explosions. Both put rods out the side of the block just at and above the oil pan rail / block intersection resulting in oil & coolant blowing out all over the inner fender area and onto the tires, almost put me into the wall..... Diaper is the only containment device that stands a chance in a chassis car unless you find a way to get the pan sides up to cover the block.

Dustin, are you installing one for your own piece of mind or has there been a rule change to require you to have one?

I had a DRE. Fit like a glove, easy to take off. Money well spent.
