I have some movement under the car.
In 2010/October I was working on a goes left during a wheelstand issue. Finally figured out the wheeliebars topped-out at different heights and that steered the car LEFT.. It went 10.11/10.11/10.13/10.11 ,60fts varied .004 allday.
I was pretty proud to be that consistent with a 4-spd. All is well.
Fast forward to 2012 May-12th,1st time car has moved since the `2010 runs.Touched nothing-fuel/battery-turned the key.
Goes hard RIGHT
So I`m under it and find the ladder bar brackets on the right-side are buckled and cracked Left-side much less damage, but still visible.
Its old and beat up,so not too hard to swallow. But I have 2-in.s of tire clearance on each side and the drivers-side shows where it rubbed!!
I`ve layed under there and studied everything and can`t come up with a theory how the left side only could move that far,right-side is the worst damage-wise,but left let the tire move 2in`s???
Ideas???

With the right side moving forward that gives the car
rear steer... right side forward will drive the rear
of the car left and turns the front right... when you
have rear steer you have to look at things backwards

Also... see if the right side is broke free... on
decell the right would drop back moving the left
side forward

Looks like its rotating the ladder bar crossmember like a torsion-bar.

I'd check the ladderbar crossmember. You could be twisting it like a torsion bar

Mine rubs the tires some if I turn off the track to fast.

With the posts going around on cross member bracing, this is my thought. On the initial hit, the front mount is driven upward. With a plate on top of the front mount I added my roll cage diagonal directly on top of the mount. I can;'t see that it could rotate attached this way. What do you think?

It actually pushes upwards at about a 45* angle...
forward and upwards

From what I've been taught, the vector changes. It starts upward at the hit when the vehicle is stationary. Then as the car moves it changes forward. I probably should have added the supports anyway. Never to late.

Its dependent on the angle of the bar but when I
went to a chassis seminar it was in the 45* area..
you can calculate it based on the angle
