I was never sure if hanging them without mounting them solid to something was acceptable. But if hanging them is okay, then that might be the best option it seems. Only thing is im using push lok, not stainless braided hose....should work similar though I would think and be able to support it

I think the only stipulation was a minimum of 6" in front of the firewall. I'm not a big fan of mounting the fuel press. reg solid to the engine in any way - but lots do it without a problem.

Supply and demand folks. If you have enough pressure an volume to the reg, it aint gonna make no difference which way that -6 or -8 line is pointing. Liquid doesn't compress. The pump might have to work a little bit harder, but if you have enough pump, it's gonna stay @ 7 psi. - or where ever you set it.

I dont think ANYONE here is making enough steam to worry about the regulator being affected by Gforce..Just saying lets not over think this.

I have my main line coming around the motor side of my distributor and have the regulator just floating on the 2 lines from the carb. No mounting no nothing, it just hangs there in mid air and hasn,t given me any problems in 7 or 8 years.

believe me when i tell you that "problem" borders on urban legend along with the totally incorrect notion that the larger the diameter of the front to rear line makes this "problem" worse. the diameter has no effect with regards to any g-force impact it's the linear length that does.
water exerts roughly .433 psi per foot and the specific gravity of race fuels runs around .725-.750 so fuels exert about .320 psi per foot. this would mean if you have 10 linear feet of line parallel with the forward motion of the car and the car is accelerating at 1G there would be 3.2 PSI of back pressure. iirc a pro stock car averages about 1.5 g during the run which of course is higher at the hit and softer at the big end.
does it have an impact, yes, is it a problem for the vast majority of racers, no
