Stock or Aftermarket bar Doug?.....confirm left and right, front/back if the bars are marked, also lay the bars on a flat surface together side by side to check the idex of the flats in relation to one another that they are l/r mirror images of each other, if your running factory style lower rubber bushings loosen the piviot nut on the LCA, some aftermarket bars the index of hex end front to rear may clock differently, requiring you to lift the lower arm slightly to engage the hex, esp the larger 1"+ bars, just make sure both sides of the vehicle are installed the same, tighten all the lower and upper control arm bolts/nuts with the car at ride height with the weight of the vehicle on the suspension

i will probably get slammed for this statement. but i have see a LOT of experienced techs forget this step, me included. is the arm that gets adjusted with the bolt loose? can you turn it all of the way down against the adjustment bolt with the bolt in the full down position? better yet you should be able to turn the arm by hand. a lot of techs just loosen the adjustment stud but forget to turn the arm down to the lower position. you might have to loosen the bolt on the other side of the K member to let it fully bottom out against the adjustment bolt.

After you back off the adjustment bolt, grab the arm hex with a channel lock pliers and twist it down to the adjustment bolt.
bar will line up then, that is with everything hanging down

Ahhh, if you torqued this nut down prior to installing the bars, chances are you have the socket out of alignment.

just a reminder. after you get the bar in. get the ride height close before tightening the front lower control arm bolt. this will keep the rubber from tearing.
