I have this coil can it be laid on its side,I like the stock look on my intake,but have read were it says do not lay on its side and read were it says can be installed in any position ideas.

On my bigblock I mounted it in the coil bracket but mounted the coil bracket to the inner fender with the coil vertical.

On my smallblock I used to mount them on the firewall.

Its pretty simple. Google msd and get the answer from the horses mouth.

Part number: 8202
If you are looking to upgrade your stock coil, or want to compliment the performance of your MSD Blaster Ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7, the Blaster Coil lin (...)
Make sure to mount these coils vertically, since they do contain oil in them to cool the windings.

Ok got my answer I Google it and came right to here were there was a lot of thoughts on how to install it so up right it will be thanks Moparts.

as a second option you can get Napa coil and use it in the original bracket, you wont feel any difference between the two.

ive always mounted mine in the (on the) manifold and had no problems ,i know msd says to mount it in a verticle position.

The one on my Street Hemi has been mounted in the original horizontal position since 1987, no problems.
