They are definitely different...kick down linkage as well. The better question is why remove the 4bbl carb? Less power, less fuel economy than a properly tuned 4bbl when you have a 2bbl

Heres the brackets. I forgot your going from a 4bbl to a 2bbl. The 4bbl cable may work. If you use a 2bbl cable on a 4bbl, not enough travel to open the 4bbl all the way open.
