I don't think a Stealth or Eddie RPM will get you there unported. I ran 10.70's with unported RPM's, a 555/570 Hughes Hyd. cam, Isky 1.5 ductile iron rockers on a TRW piston 440 in a 2950lb. car with a glide. Same combo went 10.0's with a 640 ultradyne solid and Ross pistons.
I'd have to seriously look at the cost of CNC ported Stealths or Eddie RPMs versus off the shelf Indy EZ or SRs if I were starting from scratch. If the port volume gets too big, it will want more rpm on a 440 than a hyd. cam will handle.

pretty sure my buddy's old 69 Coronet went 10.90's w/ e-heads, 590 cam. and 4.56's. Nothing really fancy about the car, even ran the 318 leaf springs and traction bars.

Why not a Victor head? Man are they a good head for the money! They beat the 440-1 everywhere on our flow bench...

I looked at them too. i kinda know 10.90's is stretch for this set-up.. guess i really just want to be faster than 11.50 because i want to run nss 11.50 or 11 class. its been 11.80's with just a 509 mp cam stock 906 heads flat top pistons.. nothing fancy at all and 1.58 60'.
You have a decent 60ft, so heads will help your ET for sure, and so would a solid cam. I would suggest the Mopar .557 solid and a good set of mildly ported heads. We put a 512 togather on pump gas with unported EZ heads, and it is a beast. I like them, and the valves are a 2.19" on the intake side which really seems to get the things breathing. I am not a fan of eddy heads. If your going to spend the money, get a head you can come back to later and fully port them to match your next combo. Your going to need about 90hp to hit your goal of 10's so, get a good set, maybe a used set that just needs a going thru to be put back into action.

Don't some NSS rules limit head choice? I'd think a home ported set of Stealth heads 590-600 soild lift cam and a set of roller rockers should get you close to 10.90 as long as your convert and gear are matched up.

Care to elaborate with intelligent conversation?? I'm simply relating personal real-world info. You care to engage us with your brilliance, or is this just a drive by from the peanut gallery??
Mr. Yuck, You mentioned a 10.90 Eddie combo that featured a solid cam, the OP said he prefered to stay hydraulic.
Everyone seems quick to bash suggestions without reading all the info.
The Victors require an offset rocker, correct? That adds an expense as well.

Big hydraulic,Ported EZ heads, or Victors if you can stretch that far, should sneak you into the 10's, if you already have a decent converter. Mick
