I toke it for a test ride after doing some transmission work on Saturday. On the way back home, I noticed the temp starting to climb, then it started to knock real bad. I tore the engine appart and found #6 cylinder has a 2" crack in it. Water got into the oil and I guess when it did, it toke out #6 rods, both are junk, also #6 piston hit the head, and it is toast also. So as of now, I'm looking to get the block sleeved, 2 rods and 1 piston. Really strange thing is this engine was put together in 2004 and it NEVER over heated or had any issues. Just my luck I guess.

DLK in Russelton isn't to far from you and does great work. Talk to Jeff. 724-265-1020. PM me if you need anything to get her running again.

Bob Georege is in I believe 84 Pa.If you want to drive an hour there is a great small shop in Girard Ohio that I use exclusively. He isnt fast but is reasonable and a perfectionist. You might be cheaper getting a stroker kit.By the time you turn, polish crank, recon all the rods and replace at least 2 and find a piston.Adds up fast. That and Id replace all the rod bolts with ARPs.Rocky
