Anyone know what the purpose of the 6/32" soft brass plug is that PROMAX supplies with their six pack center carb metering block? Is it critical? Tonight I've had trouble making it fit into the carb -- hex wrench stripped the center hole of the plug, so now the plug is barely into the carb unit and hanging out rather than fully seated. I think its for the blocking of the vacuum advance port from the carb. Can it be epoxied/closed if I cut it off? Thanks ahead to anyone who can help (I'll try PROMAX Sat morning). Mopar Mitch

Thanks for the tip on the proper metering block, and the questionable plug.

I finally spoke with Ben at Promax... he said the plug is rarely needed only when the carb hole happens to be mis-located... and mine is OK... plug not needed! (they should've said this on their info sheet and it would've saved me the time delay). Issue closed!
