Hi Ted I have a set on the self.
Right now they are In The Boxes=(pretty slow)
My combo is waiting til next year.
My ET is 9.44 with MP stage VI's.
Going to swap them over the winter, should be just heads and intake swap! Can't wait to see what the difference is.

Thanks, guys! Don...My Stage VIs are the 383-440 street heads..I don't know how the chambers compare to the ones you have...Maybe Zippy could chime in and explain or Dwayne Porter..I think mine are a good enough head but they probably don't get enough air thru them for my cubic inches..So I am now standing at the crossroads.. Spend money later this year on SRs. or get my current ones worked over..

I have a set of the SR (M.W. ports, no extra porting that I know of, they flow 340 at .700 on a super Flow 600 bench)that are on my 518 C.I. pump gas low deck stroker now. The car weighs right at 3450 lbs. with me in it, best so far with the Indy 400-2 intake and Holley 850 D.P.(#4781-7)with a 1.5 phenloic spacer is 10.31 on the brakes and the best MPH the same day off of the brakes was 129.72. I do run a set of T&D rockers that are 1.65 ratio on a .420 lobe lift solid roller cam. That is on Oregon pump gas with the air cleaner and exhaust system on I'm going to switch the intake and carb. to a Indy 400-3 with a 1.5 inch cloverleaf spacer and a Holley 1050 dominator, probally remove the exhaust also to put a set of taller tires on it to hold the "extra power", I hope

Have you given any thought to the 440-1 heads? They should be fine OTB and you would have room for improvement in the future.
A lot of people on here run the SR heads and like them, but 98% of them have spent big $$$$ in having them ported.

Thanks,guys...Cab.That is about the same roller I have. The SRs.take the rocker assembly in the same location as stock, don't they? I do see that there are -1s for sale on racing junk. Bobby...Guess I haven't given any thought to the EZs..That could be another option. You know I always welcome your imput!! I won't do anything this year. Just getting some opinions!! Thanks!! Ted

I've got a pair of SRs on my 11.5:1, .564"/.564" 251/257 flat tappet cam, Indy dual-plane, Holley 850 DP, .055" over 440. I'm happy with the heads, but just know in advance: if you're putting them on an RB block, you're probably going to have to buy a set of super-expensive (but super-nice) TTI step headers made for the SR heads. I believe that Hedman used to also make headers that would work with the SRs.
Good luck.

Glad to see this post. I have a set I'am getting ready to put on 500/511 motor (still in the works) trying to decide how far to go with them. I only want to go low tens. I have a friend who has his maxed out MW fully ported they look nice and do the job for him. Did any of you change out springs and retainers?

I disagree. I have had both. My SR'S were done by Marsh Performance and are awesome. If I had to do it all over after having both I would take the SR again. In the end the gains were not that great with the -1 unless its an all out effort.

I had a 451 (.060 over 440)Comp. Cams roller 286/750 with ported&polished 915 heads,12-1 lighten Speed-Pro pistons,D-C Hi-Perf. rods&3.75 crank(mid 80's build) done by some big time Mopar guys.Put a set of OTB 440-1 heads & picked up 100 HP on the dyno. All work & dyno done by the Barnetts. I don't think the SR's or EZ's will do that. I know a few people who run both heads and have put a lot of $$$ into them in port work and they do run good. But they have now invested as much as a set of 440-1's which would be faster cost.
