One of the Mopar magazines (I believe) did the manifold tests on a low deck with ported Edelbrock's and a pretty healthy solid cam. It was reran in the last Engine Masters magazine.
The best all around single plane was the Victor, and the M1 was almost identicle. They actually made the best overall torque and horsepower with a tunnel ram.
You might be able to look at the article on Engine Master's website?

4-5 years ago the best stock port B engine 4150-style intake was the Edelbrock TM-6. Maybe the Victor is better, but there weren't any MP intakes that could rumn with a TM-6.
Have things changed that much?

I've used the M1 and the TM-6 (with a 1" four hole on top of a 1" open spacer arrangement) on the same engine and the TM-6 was about .05 better on the track for me . I haven't tried a victor though.

Best intake is the 4500 version of the M1. Then use a Wilson adapter to go from the 4500 flange to the 4150 flange.

The Victor 383 is a good intake but the plenum is kind of small. The 4500 M1 looks like a better plenum design and it makes more hp on dyno tests that I've run.

There aren't a lot of good choices for the low deck with std ports. Most of the intakes are old designs that won't make much power.

Back when I ran the Edelbrock RPM heads with porting on my 451 CID low deck, a ported TM-6 was better than the M1 low deck intake. And I even tried the low deck M1 "popsicle stick" distribution modification. This was with a 272/280 at 0.050" cam and about 12.2 CR. That ported TM-6 was awesome. It needed the tight turn on the "inner" cyliders (3,5, 2,4) ported.
Here are the port dimensions (attached).

And here are some flow numbers on a Superflow 100? (small one). And the track performance confirmed the flow bench improvement.

I'll agree on the TM-6..it's a VERY good intake. We've had one since 1972.

I ran the M1 4150 flange intake with a 1" open spacer on my 451 stroked 400 and it worked good for me. I'll sell it for $150. It's been sitting around the garage since the new engine has max wedge ports and indy intake.

When I saw the 2002 date on that file, it amazed me too (9 years).

That ported intake was awesome in that application. When I went to a bigger engine and max wedge heads, the Indy single plane was perfect for drag racing, but I really noticed how bad it was driving in the pits compared to the TM-6.
