First, I didn't blatantly paint over anything. I simply didn't know, nor do I what colors little bits and pieces need to be. .....The clutch boot I am replacing new - so I didn't care about that,

Sorry if I came off sounding a little harsh...I don't always type what I mean...or at least it never comes out sounding like I thought...

The "I didn't care about that" is kinda what I was referring to...The boot pops out in less than two seconds. If you had of did that PRIOR to paint, you could have got a nice clean fresh painted suface under the new boot. It's these little details that make a better quality restoration.

To continue correcting these little things I see several items under the hood alone that should be removed and refinsihed in their proper colours.

the throttle cable (natural colours)
POS. batttery cable holder (natural with black dip)
UCA access shields (semi gloss black)
Regulator bracket as mentioned (gold cad)
Heater box bolts (gold cad)
Front Shocks (flat black)
Clutch shaft ball stud (silver cad)
Clutch switch wire (green)
