Without pics,kinda hard to give judgement.
However,I can offer an opinion based on my experience.
I thought my floors were good until I stripped all the factory undercoating and gutted the interior.
I went over the whole floor with a hammer and if it went through,I cut,fabbed,and welded in patches.
I saved as much of the original floor as possible since it did not need any large areas replaced at one time.
It just had tiny peppered holes that were easily filled with the MIG and brass plug.Other areas needed small patches of 20 guage sheetmetal.
After grinding down the welds,the floor was strong and looked great.
