The cheap padding looks, well cheap... So you have to buy a stick of roll bar padding that doesn't expire... Big deal. Rules from NHRA are usually there for a reason. Cars running those speeds can and do crash. If it happens to you, you would want to know your safe right?

If you don't like it, get out the wax, and start enjoying car shows.

Totally disagree.

no disrespect jerico---but the comment " you would want to know your safe right? " sounds like an insurance salesman pitch.

This is drag racing.

my opinion -

Our "sfi" Snell helmets smacking the foam (very , very , very rare) .... no way a 2 inch foam vs a " sfi" 2 inch foam is going to matter.

Its simply SFI ,NHRA , and the manufacturers making money off the racer. Its not needed. just like the locking trans dip stick , and on and on .....

What happened to the old days? you are a drag racer -- strap in and floor it. Wrecks happen.

Next up for 2011 , SFI Maxi Pads.

gimmie a F.. break .
