Make sure you externally reference the power valve if it's a suck thru setup - if you run lean under boost, you will cook it quick!

I have a 70 383 Challenger w/ AC, that I turbo'd in '79 and I had to cobble together / cut /weld parts from other kits to make it work and look right. It used TRW forged pistons for the 2bbl 383 (8.25 comp)It ran incredibly strong - had water/methonal injection above the carb airhorn, allowed me to run 34-36 degrees advance, but you had it bring it in a litle later.

I used a an oil cooler just for the Turbo, and a homebuilt hydraulic accumulator to feed it after shutdown - though it would still coke up the turbo bearings after awhile.

AT first I ran it w/o a wastgate, but I had a boost gauge to monitor. Most boost ever was about
22lbs, but finally installed wastegate w/ 11 lbs
and it worked well
