The methods that I have heard of involve swapping the entire steering knuckle from side to side so the caliper sits toward the rear. This allows sway bar clearance and is actually better for weight distribution. The Aspen/Volare cars were set up this way, as well as all the Diplomat/5th ave cars. You could use a brake line from one of those cars, but they used a different caliper. The connection to the caliper may be different. Oh yeah... how did you mount the front sway bar? The 73-76 cars had the bar passing through the K frame. The 63-72 was a totally different design.
