I will need to install my window stuff before too long also. Since the car is painted, my fear was having the mechanism fall into the panel and denting it from the inside out. Someone suggested that I put a piece of cardboard in the door/quarter area while installing stuff to prevent accidental internal denting. Don't know if anyone else has done this but had planned on trying it for my install.
