Just for clarity, the VON (vehicle order number) which is stamped into the rad support and quarter trunk rail on '68 B bodies isn't the same as the sequence number. Most times when people refer to "sequence number" they mean sequencial VIN which is the 6 digit number at the end of the VIN, although Lynch Rd. fender tags also have a "gate sequence" number at the top which seems to mean very little to anybody.

As stated earlier, only the fender tag or broadcast sheet ties the VIN# to the VON#
