Here is something else to think about... The forces being applied to that slight bend are now where near enough to bend a 1.625 .120 wall tube, but they are strong enough to bend the sheet metal spring hanger mount. Keep in mind that this aspect of the sub-frame connector also is working in conjunction with the spring hanger structure that is already there from the factory.
