I just googled circlip to find out what they are. I DID NOT put any circlips or snap rings on when I put the drive shaft on the yoke. I just put the straps over the u joint and tightened them down. Thank you gents for the education and that "learning curve just got another bend" comment is great. keeps me from being in this situation
