For me it's 972 miles, 15 hours driving 100 gallons of fuel to the Nationals. So selling $5000 of parts you are at 10% not to mention hotels etc.
Bottom line it cost money to make money and the eBay IRS is held off until 2024. So be thankful you didn't pay taxes from the beginning of eBay.
If you file sole proprietor on the eBay parts business you can write off the 972 miles and shipping etc.
