Hey, I'm trying to help my youngest step son with the fuel line on his '03 Dakota.

Fuel pump died, he replaced it, and, I have no idea how he did it but the quick connector to the pump/plastic line near it got damaged.

The only kit I can find to repair 5/16 quick connect is
Dorman 800-057
But it does not connect to the fuel pump module, won't even snap on the fuel pump stub.
It LOOKS like it should fit and was attempted, no good.
Dorman shows nothing for a 2003 dakota fuel system.

52102439AA/B is the mopar number that seems to come up online (not 100% sure if that is accurate), but it's NS1 as I'd expect.

So, running out of ideas.....how can I help him here?

Have him pull the fuel pump module out and weld an AN fitting to it for him so he can use expensive aftermarket line on this old beater? Maybe pushlock or similar?
It will void whatever warranty the fuel pump had....but would work....

Splice in one from the junkyard if and when found?

I've never damaged plastic fuel line before and had no idea what a PITA it was.
