I think its the rear gear that contributes to some of these things with the vettes and mustangs. Both seem to be able to quickly change direction under power and end up crashed.

Here is a link to many vette issues and the same can be found for the stangs. Dont see a lot of mopars doing the same for some reason.

Doubt it's the rear gear. I have a '18 Mustang GT...rear gear is 3:31. Most of the guys in that link were hammering stuff coming out of corners....that'll get ya loose every time! I know the OP Vette was on the straight......he just hit it too hard and got out performed.
