"They" said no more support for Windows 7 but I still get one update a day from them.

Are you paying for extended support? I don't recall EVER getting daily updates.

Windows 7 support ended January 14, 2020, but the company allows businesses to pay for extended security updates through September 10, 2023.

As I recall, individuals could pay a nominal fee for a year? About $25 monthly, IIRC? shruggy

edit, forgot all about security essentials, I suppose that could be what you're seeing?

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) will continue to receive signature updates after January 14, 2020. However, the MSE platform is no longer being updated. Click here to learn more about learn more about Microsoft Security Essentials.

OOPS!! You're right, the updates are Security Essentials only.
