The other thing I want to mention is I'm use to driving something that is a slight handful. I have a 408 stroker LRE and let's just say in the rain I have to be careful taking off from lights with the old Cooper Cobras it has on it. Anything half throttle or more is instant tire spin.
Then you should be fine. It is a little different to have torque and horsepower over the whole rpm range. The old school stuff had power peaks, these cars always have power, and 8 speeds, and are going triple digits in a hurry. Fun car, best bang for the buck, just respect it.
