Its unlikely that the rod and main bearings are going to fix it. These engines were known for iffy cam bearings and that in my experience is the most common source of low oil pressure. The lower end wear is a symptom not a cause.

Still, if it were mine id gamble on the bearings and high volume pump, and thicker oil. Then run it till the valvetrain starts to rattle.
