Hmmph, I should have updated this earlier...

I did end up getting nice BBP steelies for the front, thanks to a FABO moderator, GTXperience.





Later, I found a '74 dual-snorkel air cleaner at a swap meet, and decided it'd be the perfect candidate for a feaux-'71 340 air cleaner:



I also purchased a BBP 8.75" rear from a 68 Coronet. It's a 2.94:1 742 open case. Should hold me plenty, for now. I kept the 10x2.5" drums in the rear, but rebuilt them. nothing much else was wrong on the axle except for the brake lines, so I just threw it back together with a coat of brushed-on Rustoleum satin black





Upcoming, I will be pulling the entire drivetrain, installing a Firm Feel or Steer and Gear power box, rebuilding the torqueflite (leaky seals), and painting the motor orange. This should all happen before April or May.
