The Conquest reference reminded me of a guy I met back in the '80s. I think his plan was to convert his Javelin over to the gm bolt pattern so he could use some 16" corvette wheels. I think 'vettes starting in '84 came with 16x9.5 wheels. Those might fit your price point. This isn't a bad way to go, think of all the new and used gm pattern wheels out there!
