I know that we've all seen the questionable pics of the blown-alcohol car. Has anyone here exploded a tranny into one of these shields and seen what happened? In my own case we went with the largest blanket we could find b/c we didn't feel that a carbon fiber shield offered the most protection.

A blanket is fine as long as you only plan upon running 10 seconds or slower. You still need the bell housing covered to run faster making the CSR shield the best option out there? And I have seen one of these shields in a 9 second car put to the test. The driver was not injured but the shield was toast. Did it do its job?????
