Have you decided what to do on the cam and lifters yet?
Not yet. Im still in the pricing phase. I need a lot of items to get the engine running. Still need to find a flywheel/flex plat/clutch, need to determine what kind of trans I have and if it is compatible with the engine, need to rebuild the small carb I have, need to find 2 pistons(ring landings broke-up), probably need new main bearings cuz Im missing the upper thrust bearing,....the list goes on.
Not even sure where to start with the trans.
If I cant find a rebuild kit for the carb then Ill have to get a new one and they are pricey!
But if I need a new cam and new lifters, should I go ahead and beef them up a little now? Then I would also need new valve springs and Im not sure what lbs and size to look for if I do get an above-stock cam/lifter.
Lot of stuff to process.
