a 383 was an available option in that truck. So putting in a 440 isn't too far off the restoration aspect of your skill set.

Truck probably has an 8 3/4 in it anyway so that should be ok. Don't know what it has for a trans, but if it's a stick then it'll be the NP435 and that will handle the 440, with the right bell housing of course.
