FI doesn't matter, it's still hard on the thrust bearing. There's a reason Chrysler did not use them in the 60s and then again in the 80s...I'd fab up a neutral switch on the shifter before I'd ever run a clutch switch...BUT I've never felt the need for one, especially after losing a thrust bearing in a 273 many years ago...
