I'm sure a lot of people will laugh at this, but I use my factory ( I don't use no stinking cable ) solid linkage shifter. I fortunately have the room to do this in my car. . I upgraded the pivot bushings so it is very positive and repeatable every shift. Only drawback to it is you can go from 1 to 3 if you are over zealous ( I have done it a few times ). Even incorporated the gear selector panel ( lit for night racing ) in my aluminum box cover.
