I "believe" some index racers use the MSD Power Grid and program taking out timing at the start of a run to slow them down. If you look at some of the 60ft times you can see how they slow it down at the start of the run.
Is this legal in NSS, NMCA rules? It's not in Victory NSS series. This is the one thing that can completely foul up NSS or any other non-electronic racing. Heck, as far as I am concerned, it will foul up ALL racing. Not only can you slow up 60 ft times, there is a world of "adjustments" that can be made down track. Read articles about "slew rate" in drag racing.
